Freedom Corner: Memorial Day 2023

3 times a year, our President & Chairman of the Board for Veterans OutReach, Mr. Don Hartness, stands in the corner of Lakeland Dr. and Castlewood in Flowood, Mississippi as “The Flag Man.” Don stands in that corner for 12 hours straight and does not leave his spot all day. He stands on that Corner every Memorial Day, Veterans Day and The Fourth of July to help raise funds to make our Veterans more comfortable. He waves our beautiful flag to remind everyone Freedom came at a price and asks everyone to to join us in remembering our American Hero’s. During that time, members of the Veterans OutReach will be out with Don collecting monetary donations from drivers at the corner of Lakeland Dr. and Castlewood.
